We go MUSHROOMING!!
that’s it, you always heard about it, you seen them at the farmers market, you ate them in risottos and on the Barbie, this time you are going to go and get them out of the forest!
Diego Bonetto has been taking people out in forest trips for years, and now what has been a special treat for selected friends can be yours to experience!
We going south, on the Hume highway, two n half hours out of Sydney.
We have a bus, you just need to get yourself to Casula Train Station by 6:45am.
No late comers, the bus will leave at 7 am sharp!

early morning breakfast in the forest with BBQ wild mushrooms (Lactarious deliciousus), garlic and parsley.

Foraging in the city with Diego Bonetto
This workshop has sold out
Join naturalist Diego Bonetto on a 4 hours workshop, learning the wonders and possibilities of edible weeds!
To some plantain, dandelion, chickweed and sow-thistle are a nuisance, to others they are a delicious salad and a seasonal treat!
Learn about the most common species growing in your garden, along the green belts and in parks and reserves. Find out how they have been used for food, craft and natural remedies. Discover ways to safely harvest from the urban ‘wild’ and enrich your diet with vitamins and minerals.

Wild Stories Foraging Tour

Join artist and keen naturalist Diego Bonetto for a walking foraging tour of the parkland surrounding Casula Powerhouse. Join him in learning about new plants, and perhaps even sharing some of your own knowledge about home grown cuisines. It is recommended that closed toed shoes are worn for this tour.

Wild Medicine workshop
This workshop has booked out
When: Saturday 17 March 12 > 1.30pm FREE
2 hours workshop on how to make traditional remedies with locally sourced plants.
Artist and expert forager Diego Bonetto will join forces with Agnieszka Kaczmarz-Adamczewska, biologist and herbalist, and Papa Sean, Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner, to produce a number of medicinal-quality remedies using dandelions, mallow, nettle, plantain and more.
Come to see for yourself how easy is to build your own reserve of remedies using the available flora in your parks and gardens.
